Project Nine Ten works with organisations and individuals from communities harmed by explosive weapons. Our role is to make sure their experiences, analysis, and needs shape both humanitarian policy and the public conversation around civilian protection, not only as testimony, but as authorship.

Dr Hussam Hamouda is a surgical resident. He was working at Al-Ahli Baptist hospital in Gaza when this statement was recorded. He has lost forty-three members of his family to explosive weapons, alongside friends and colleagues. He has himself survived targeting by the Zionist entity. Dr Hamouda has performed amputations on children under conditions no patient should be operated on and no surgeon should have to work in. He is working with Project Nine Ten to gather the ask of communities affected by explosive weapons in populated areas, and to advocate for their medical needs. In November 2025, he gave the following statement to the Second International Conference on the Political Declaration on Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas in San José.
